Sugarloaf

November 16th, 2008

A partial cloud inversion brightened up a rather gloomy day in November.

Not the brightest of days, but definitely atmospheric! The picturesque autumn colours made for an excellent start to the walk. After slogging upwards towards Sugarloaf, the cloud closed in as we approached the top. At the summit, the cloud was held off by the wind. This made for some lovely wisps of cloud sticking to the lower lying ground. As we descended into the cloud, it got rather misty. This made for some lovely photos as we walked through the forest on the final stage of the hike. The leaves covered the uneven rock which made us thankful of getting to the bottom!
