Marzipan and Mincemeat Loaf Cake


  • 225g Self-raising Flour
  • 100g Light Muscovado Sugar
  • 115g Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 115g Marzipan
  • 350g Mincemeat
  • Flaked Almonds


  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 55-60 minutes
  • Oven Temperature: 180 degrees
  • Uses greased loaf tin (approx 4x11 inch)


Add the flour, sugar and butter into a mixing bowl. Mix until it forms crumbs. Then add the eggs and mincemeat and stir vigorously. Finally, cut the marzipan into small chunks and add. A last stir and the mix is ready for the oven. Pour into a greased and lined loaf tin. Cover the mixture generously with the almonds and place in the pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour. Insert a skewer to test if cooked. If it comes out clean, its done.
